Ace photographer Bruce Mallory captured this
stunning image of Schumaker's 2003 ride catching air at the top of the
infamous "corkscrew". That's a Ferrari factory test pilot
at the wheel trying to set a speed record for the track. He didn't
do it.

Matt Lipski's Pantera met its untimely end the week before, so he rented a
Ferrari 360 Modena for the trip to Monterey.
Q: What do
do with a rented Ferrari?
A: Drive it
like a rented Ferrari!!!
Unfortunately,
the 'F' just couldn't take the abuse. After only 2 rounds of the
automotive equivalent of a gang bang, she blew a radiator hose and was
down for the count. Party over. The rental company sent a
flatbed and an inferior Maserati (they were fresh out of Ferraris) as a
replacement. Matt opted to cancel the deal and came to Monterey in
his daily driver instead.
More Ferraris than you ever knew existed.
Multi-million dollar GTOs like this one were virtually everywhere.
Another really nice 'F', one of many just like
