 July 2005 Cruizing Grand

 

 

"Cruzin Grand" is one of the major weekly cruise nights in Southern California.  It happens along Grand Ave in downtown Escondido, CA every Friday night during the summer.

On this night, even though the event is supposed to be restricted to "pre-1974 American cars", (we've been banned in the past) the Pantera was a featured vehicle in the pime central location.  Special thanks to Bret Gann for greasing the skids and getting our participation arranged

As usual, the Panteras were a big hit with the crowd.  There was no shortage of enthusiasts and admires...

Bret Gann's black beauty was awarded a prize.

IMG_1849.jpg (251786 bytes)  The trip to the podium to accept the trophy was slightly humbling, as Bret's car had a dead battery.  The first push-start attempt failed.

IMG_1868.jpg (227484 bytes)   Bruce Mallory stepped up with his Cobra to share some of the life-giving juice from his battery and then after one more push, Bret was off to accept his prize.
