I am currently a high school special educator of
Community Based Instruction for students with disabilities ... students
span many disabling conditions: physical, learning disabilities, Autism,
traumatic brain injury, cognitive, or attention deficiencies.
I am very well versed in Special Education law having served LA Unified
School District for many years as a teacher, mentor, supervising teacher
for new teachers, a due process and least restrictive
environment program specialist. I do academic and social
emotional assessments used to help determine eligibility of who
qualifies for Federal & District special education services and
to what degree.
Prior to teaching I had many years experience in the fine jewelry
industry, having worked for a diamond company, a French designing and
manufacturing firm and was the inventory controller for a very
upscale estate jeweler in Beverly Hills involved with international
joint ventures and pieces in the multi-million dollar range.
I've studied design through the Gemological Institute Of America and have designed fine
jewelry pieces from wax process. Currently I dabble from time to
time with costume jewelry as a hobby (even some w/ Pantera
logo).
