 2009 - Super Bowl Party

February 1st, 2009 was Super Bowl Sunday and the game was on for the Pittsburg Steelers and the Phoenix Cardinals.  In the end, the Steelers would take the coveted prize but the winner was mostly irrelevant.  We were just there to have a good time, and indeed a good time was had by all.  Thanks a bunch to Dave and Doreen for hosting this great party, you guys are truly Super!

Our humble hosts

No, these goofballs aren't trying to hide their identity.  The Superbowl featured some 3-D advertisements during the haf-time show.  Hey, those are some stylish shades!

All, well most eyes were on the game.  Amazing, as this is not normally the case for this football-indifferent crowd.  As it turned out, this was arguably the most exciting Super Bowl in more than a few years.  The cheers and jeers were plentiful.

George helped keep tabs on the massive $250 in football pool proceeds.  Image that, George won too!  I'm sure it was just a cooincidence.

Nan scores too, and Matt attempts to take his cut.  Nice try Matt, but Nan held on to her prize!

There was tons of food, and everyone had a great time.

The Super Bowl, the Super Food and the Super Friends made for a ful filled day.  And to top it off, what SDP event would be complete without some sort of car-related item?  Dave's new Superformance GT40 was one Super Fine Ride.  It's just about complete, lacking only a set of headers.  We can't wait to see this thing on the road
